This weekend, was really nice. On Friday, while the four big kids were in school, the babies and I went up to pay the mortgage. That evening, we had three sports practices, boys wrestling and Josie volleyball. Afterward, I watched Master and Commander with Sam and the last part with Abbey (both seemed to like and had lots of questions) We seem to be in a naval thing here as over Christmas break we had fun watching the Pirates of the Caribbean, all four in a row. Sam likes to walk around now and say ' Savvy mate:-)Saturday was really nice as the girls and I had an all day shopping spree at Kohls, Abbey really needed something to wear to Mass, we ended up getting her some black pants and she and Jo also got pretty shirts and Abbey found her formal dress, yeah. Then we went to Chilis for some yummy food and chocolate molten cake, this was huge treat for us as we rarely, try never, go out to restaurants. On Sunday, it was pretty cold out, so we went to 11 a.m. Mass at St. Bernadette and then spent the rest of the afternoon doing our Jane Wooster Scott winter puzzle. (I highly recommend those). On Monday, I took Thomas to get a badly needed haircut and then he and I got some epiphany water from Holy Rosary to make holy water gifts. We spent the rest of the afternoon making paper snow flakes to decorate the house. They are very pretty and bring a smile to my face each time I see them. Abbey and I ended the day with a trip to Target and Joanns just to get out of the house and do a little ooh and ahh shopping.
Some plans for the week, need to get paperwork in for Scecina, keep up with sports schedules and doctors and therapy, I also need to try and fill the freezer as much as possible.
If I can find time for myself, I want to teach myself to make the little crocheted corsages for St. Patrick's Day.
I am grateful for my husband, my kids and the rest of our families. I am grateful for our school and the teachers and our coaches. All are so good with our kids and make our life easier and better.
Some prayer intentions, for the little girl I read about with leukemia in the paper and her family, for Scott's kids, for our priests.
Something that makes me smile, when Thomas gives me hugs and kisses, Gracie singing ABC song and lighting up to itsy, bitsy spider, Abbey, hosting Lucy in her room for a weekend sleepover, Sam , saying 'Savvy mate :-) and Jo, so eager to help with craft projects.
Thank you Jesus for everything,
me
