Monday musings

Right now, it's the afterschool hour. The kids are watching a Big Foot show in the living room and Lucy is watching Noggin. Gracie is in bed for a late afternoon nap.

This weekend, was rather uneventful. On Friday, A had her friend Desiree spend the night. I knitted and watched Harry Potter with the middle kids. Dad took S to play his Magic game with other gamers on these northside. On Saturday, Dad worked in the morning and there were some challenges with one of kids. In the late afternoon, Dad took the four kids to his school to run around, which they reported was very fun. A had a babysitting job. Sam and I watched the movie Contact late night. He really enjoys watching movies with me, and I think they stimulate some good discussions. On Sunday, Sam did his first serving at OLL. Dad said he did a good job. Then for the rest of the day, we worked on upgrading Josie's room. Sunday evening I took the other kids to Little Flower's mass. (We split up to avoid taking the babies out in the January cold).

We did avoid any tv watching all day on Saturday, yeah for us.

oh, and one big thing, I learned how to purl stitch and how to do the stockinette stitch, I worked on a coffee mug cozy and it is three quarters done. I just have to learn how to sew the ends together :-)

Some plans for this week, getting through to payday :-)

Time for myself, more learning about knitting

I am grateful for, same as last week, family, family, family, good school and church and good friends

Somethings that have made me smile, A liking her chicken rice dinner, S liking movies, J liking us fixing up her room, T waving goodbye to me and always telling us he loves us, L working on her alphabet path this coming week we're working on letter P, Gracie singing Q,RS, TUV and still playing itsybitsy spider :-)

bye for now,
me
